Alan GibbonsAlan is a popular and respected author of gritty stories for teenagers, and has won a Blue Peter award for his writing. He has moved away from thrillers to start a new series of books, called Hell's Underground, looking at a time travelling character called Paul who is half man, half demon. The latest book, published in July, is called Demon Assassin. Set in London, Paul takes the underground to travel back to the time of The Blitz where he is involved in defeating evil plots.

Alan is an excellent speaker and will explain how he came to start writing, the inspiration for his varied stories, and he will share some tips he has picked up in writing gripping, thrilling, horror stories.
